Winnie the Pooh and the whole line of its friends
has been the craze of children since long. This favorite plump cartoon
character has endorsed many items and many baby and kid items and
products come in the shape of Pooh and its friends such as porcelain
figurines, plush toys, pins, baby ornaments and bean bags. The bear cub
named Winnie in 1914 became the mascot of the second Canadian Infantry
Brigade, was placed with the London Zoo and later, became very popular
with the children because of her playful nature.
A.A. Milne was inspired by his son's love for this bear and wrote a
series of books and bedtime stories about Winnie-the-Pooh and introduced
many new characters as his friends to them. Today, the markets are
loaded with baby products that have the central theme of pooh and his

long list of Pooh's friends include Christopher Robin (a character based
on and named after Milne's son), Mr. Sanderz (a bear of very little

who likes gardening and carrots and hates being bounced, Kanga, Roo,
Tigger who like malt and an owl full of wisdom. Many other characters

bed sheets, curtains, bags and pencil boxes featuring them are the
ultimate fashion statements among children!
