The love and care lavished upon a new born helps
create a special bond between the infant and its parents. As such, it is
strictly recommended that the baby and its parents share the same bed
especially during the initial stage. The habit of sleeping in a separate
room or nursery has to be slowly inculcated into the child while he /
she is growing up. When the baby is a few months old, parents can shift
him /her to a crib placed near the bed and finally to the specially
designed baby nursery sometime later.
One also has to be careful about choosing the right crib for one's
child. This is pertinent especially when one decides to shift the child
to his / her nursery along with the crib. Take care to position the crib
away from any hanging toys, windows, curtains, etc. because a playful
kid will reach out to anything dangerous. Also make sure that the
mattress is firm without any gap between the crib and the mattress. Once
a child learns to crawl, its hint enough for you to understand that its
time you shifted him /her to the bed.
Since a nursery is where the child spends a good part of his / her
growing years, it is important for it to be designed carefully. The baby
room Decor should always be such that it exudes a positive, happy
vibe around and in this, wall colors play a very crucial role. Parents
should always choose bright hues like green, blue, yellow, etc. over
dull ones. Many people even ask the interior decorator to create
beautiful patterns of stars, moons or cartoons either on the walls or
the roof of the baby room to make it look interesting.
Furniture as part of the children's room furnishing should not have any
sharp protruding corners keeping in mind the child's safety. High chests
or tables as part of the baby room furnishing should also be avoided.
Incase there are any book case or a chest in the room, they should be
stationed against the wall as this will prevent them from tumbling if a
child tries climbing up. While making good baby room Decor ideas,
do not forget proper ventilation in the nursery as it's pertinent for
the kid's good health. Also plug all electricity points in the baby room
with a cellotape, especially when it's within the reach of the kid.
