Baby keepsakes bring sweet memories of childhood to
our minds and help us to treasure those naughty, carefree moments of our
lives. Most popular keepsakes for babies are the scrap books. There are
photo albums that can keep a record of some of the liveliest and most
exciting moments of the baby's lifetime such as the first steps of your
infant's or the first crawl and some very special photographs. These
keepsakes are available in many varieties and designs that are sure to
look cute.
Baby keepsakes such as framed tabletops, tooth fairy boxes (to store the
broken milk teeth of the baby), a beautiful kit to store the birth
certificate of the baby are some of the most common keepsakes that are
bought as gifts. A lovely picture frame that has an adorable photo of
the baby can also be given as a keepsake. These keepsakes have a long
shelf life and will be around you for many years to come. In fact, even
when your baby grows up to become a young adult, he/she will be amused
to see the keepsake that has their baby tooth!
Another interesting idea for a baby keepsake would be to mold the
hand-print or foot-print of the baby in plaster of Paris. This can be
easily done at home. Make a paste of plaster of Paris with the adequate
amount of water and put it in a mold. Take a palm print of your baby in
it and let dry. After drying, you can paint the palm print in a light
shade just to highlight it and frame the mold. You may also decorate it
with glitter stars and clip-art and hang it in your living room. Else,
you may just smear some ink or water color on the baby's palm and take a
print on a craft paper. When it dries off, decorate it as you wish and
frame it.
