A baby high chair is one of the most used baby
products that remain useful for many years in future. Thus, it needs to
be stylish, functional and durable all at once. Wooden high chairs look
attractive but catch stains easily and are harder to clean. Most wooden
high chairs are not only heavier but are usually not foldable. Metal
highchairs have greater collapsibility and are thus easy to store. They
are easy to clean too but are still heavier than plastic high chairs
that are considered most convenient by parents.
These highchairs offer reclining seatbacks, are easy to clean,
lightweight, have adjustable heights, well padded seats, removable trays
and accessories, easy to fold and wheels for good maneuverability.
Choose a sturdy high chair with a wide base for greater stability. They
must have safe security restraint belts that can be secured around
baby's waist and legs. It should not have any sharp or rough edges. It
should not have any exposed splinters.
A tray with tall edges, easy to clean and remove and preferably with
one hand release will be a great help while managing the baby in a high
chair. The adjustable trays and reclining positions allows for baby's
growth while adjustable height makes it easier to use by different sized
parents and caregivers. Older babies will feel more convenient sitting
in a highchair with an adjustable footrest. Easy to wipe surfaces are
preferable such as plastic or vinyl seats and trays. Make sure you know
the maximum weight limit of the infant high chair.
