Baby Safety Gear
With an active baby in the home, life can seem busy
as never before for new parents. Since the safety of the infant is
primary, it goes without saying that your house must have certain safety
gears that ensures complete protection of the baby. A bit of
surveillance around the house is enough to help you decide what all you
need to buy to ensure that your baby will be safe and secure. Do not
delay buying these useful safety gears to be installed in your house as
once the baby starts to crawl, you would probably be left with no time
for going shopping! Read on to get ideas about safety equipment for your
child.
- First and foremost, get smoke detectors and alarms fitted in all
rooms. It is naïve to think that your house is fire-proof.
- Install safety gates in strategic locations such as staircases,
balconies, fireplaces, etc. to avoid any sort of untoward incident.
- Look out for edges of drawers, cabinets, etc. Make sure you
install drawer latches so that the baby can't pull out the drawer
and suffer injury.
- You can also get corner protectors that help protect the baby
from getting injuries from sharp corners and edges of furniture.
- Babies, for some reason find plug points very amusing and tend to
poke in their fingers inside. In order to prevent the child from
getting electric shocks, cover up the electric points with socket
covers.
- Keep the toilet seat lid closed by installing toilet latches.
Babies tend to lift up the lid, peep inside and fall over.
- Install baby monitors if the baby is to be left without a parent
every now and then.
- You can cover gas stove knobs by installing special knob covers
that are available in stores. This would helpful in deterring your
little one from turning on the stove knob.
