Baby Play Center

A baby play center is a small but spacious square structure enclosed from the four sides with padded bars, in which a small child can play safely. Installing a baby play center in your home can prove to be of great help. It means you can have your baby safely in the same room at home where you are working and attend to his / her needs from time to time. This way the baby playcenter allows you to get on with your work without your kid getting in your way / interrupting you.

Moreover since most baby play / activity centers can be detached and assembled again at a new place, you can also get it installed in the outdoors in the garden if that is the place you spend maximum time. However, make sure that the place you have chosen for the baby playcenter is safe, shady and clean. Also even though your toddler is quite safe in the play center, do not leave him / her alone for long time as its not safe.

Also one thing you need to keep in mind is that babies need to be kept in playcenter for a fixed span of time. The toddler may get bored in the play center despite the numerous toys you put there for him /her and may not want to play there again. As such, a toddler activity center should come into use only after your baby has had some sleep and food to eat. Also keep checking on your child from time to time.

Here are some toddler activity center safety tips -
  • See that the mesh on the sides of the activity center / play center has gaps that are smaller than 1/4 inch.
  • Ensure that there are no tears, holes or loose threads anywhere in the baby play center
  • Playcenters made of wood should have slats that are no more than 2 3/8 inches separate or close.
  • See to it that the screws are firmly in place. None should be missing or loose.
  • When you set up your baby activity center, just ensure that the sides have been assembled together properly.
